The Triceratops Pencil Drawing task allows students to demonstrate their ability to use drawing processes to describe the main features and form of a displayed object. Students will complete this task working independently. The resources required for this task are a model triceratops, a block, a pencil, paper, and a drawing board. This task should be completed in thirty minutes.

Truck Track

The Truck Track task allows students to plan, carry out and report results for an experiment involving a toy truck launched down a ramp with varying slope. Students will then extrapolate and interpret their results. Students will complete this task working in teams.  Resources required for this task include a toy truck, a track, a cloth, five corks (one hidden), one meter folding ruler, and an instruction card.
