Beauty of the Beasts The Beauty of the Beasts task is a global project inviting students to capture the grandeur and magnificence of animals indigenous to their areas through original artwork and poetry. Artwork and poetry must be the student's original masterpiece... their own interpretation of the beauty and uniqueness of these marvelous creatures. All art mediums and poetry styles are acceptable. Students may participate in either art or poetry divisions, or are welcome to submit work in both. All languages welcome. Please submit English or Spanish translations if possible. |

Daffodils & Tulips In the Daffodils & Tulips task, students in different parts of the world qwill plant bulbs together and collect data on various parameters (latitude, longitude, sunlight, temperature etc.) and track when they blossom. Classrooms around the world will choose Daffodil and/or Tulip bulbs to plant during the same week in November. Students will be asked to collect temperature data throughout the experiment and report to the group – in addition they will report when the blooms appear etc. The project can be as involved or as simple as the class needs it to be. |

OF2 - Our Footprints, Our Future In the OF2 - Our Footprints, Our Future task, students will use online tools and resources to measure their carbon footprint and develop ways to reduce their carbon usage. Through the (OF)2 project, students will input data about their lifestyles into a unique online youth calculator developed by Zerofootprint.net that has been adapted to recognize different cultural and socio-economic settings, housing, modes of transportation and food consumption. Students will discuss how their lifestyle affects climate changes around the world. |

YouthCaN In the YouthCaN task, students will share their interest in environmental topics and collaborate on projects year round through online forums, video conferencing and meeting at conferences. This project is co-sponsored by the American Museum of Natural History, iEARN , Caretakers of the Earth/USA and a number of high school environmental organizations. |
