2014 Primary Math Specimen Paper 1

The 2014 Primary Math Specimen Paper 1 is a released assessment from the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint  and provides comprehensive feedback on students' strengths and weaknesses in the subject. This assessment contains a combination of free-response and non free-response questions. The Cambridge Primary Math assessment covers five content areas or ‘strands’ and further subdivided into ‘sub-strands’. These are:

  1. Number (Numbers and the number system,Calculation – Mental strategies, Addition and subtraction, Multiplication and division)
  2. Geometry (Shapes and geometric reasoning, Position and movement)
  3. Measure (Money, Length, mass and capacity, Time, Area and perimeter)
  4. Handling data (Organizing, categorizing and representing data, Probability)
  5. Problem solving (Using techniques and skills in solving mathematical problems, Using understanding and strategies in solving problems)
