2009 Reading Questions
The 2009 Reading Questions includes nine print reading units and three electronic reading units. The print reading tasks assess students' competencies in reading printed texts and the electronic reading tasks assess their competencies in reading electronic texts. These PISA tasks examine how well prepared students are for life beyond school, rather than focusing on testing how well students have learned the school curriculum.

Mathematics Questions
The Mathematics Questions includes three sections. Section 1 contains 26 item from 2012 assessment. Section 2 contains 30 items designed for, but not used in, the 2012 assessment. Section 3 contains 11 items that were used in the 2003 and 2006 assessments. The assessments focuses on students' abilities to use their knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges, rather than merely on the extent to which they have mastered a specific school curriculum.

Reading, Mathematics, and Science Questions
The Reading, Mathematics, and Science Questions include an introduction, 17 reading units, 50 mathematic units, and 34 science units released from the 2000, 2003, and 2006 PISA assessments. The assessments focuses on students' abilities to use their knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges, rather than merely on the extent to which they have mastered a specific school curriculum.
This task includes:
- 27 open-ended reading questions
- 63 open-ended math questions
- 32 open ended science questions
- multiple choice questions for reading, math, and science
