Unit description from source: In Newspaper Report students identify characteristics of text style that can be used to describe the differences between newspapers and then collect summary statistics from a range of newspapers. They analyze these statistics and produce a report based on their findings. Working within teams, students provide constructive feedback on each others' work and analyze different points of view.

OF2 - Our Footprints, Our Future
In the OF2 - Our Footprints, Our Future task, students will use online tools and resources to measure their carbon footprint and develop ways to reduce their carbon usage. Through the (OF)2 project, students will input data about their lifestyles into a unique online youth calculator developed by Zerofootprint.net that has been adapted to recognize different cultural and socio-economic settings, housing, modes of transportation and food consumption. Students will discuss how their lifestyle affects climate changes around the world.
