Narnia and CS Lewis

In the Narnia and CS Lewis task, students will read the "Chronicles of Narnia", watch the film, discuss the religious aspects of the book, compare it with other similar books, and make drawings related to the book and the "Chronicles of Narnia" films. These books have very hight educational value and can stimulate students to think about right and wrong.

In the One Day in the Life task, students will write about, photograph, and discuss their daily lives. Students will exchange messages and images describing days in their lives with students around the world, and then make cross-cultural comparisons. Students may document aspects of a typical day (like visiting the market or going to school) or they may document special days (like vacations, birthdays, celebrations, or holidays.)

Sixth Grade Common Core Assessment

The Sixth Grade Common Core Assessment includes three tasks. In Task 1, students will watch a short video clip twice and fill out the outline in their booklet. They will then read an article and gather information for their essay. In Task 2, students will read another article and gather information for their essay. In Task 3, students will write an essay, using the information they gathered in Tasks 1 and 2, to write a convincing argument.

This task includes a rubric and an alternate text with a task.
