2014 Primary Math Specimen Paper 1
The 2014 Primary Math Specimen Paper 1 is a released assessment from the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint and provides comprehensive feedback on students' strengths and weaknesses in the subject. This assessment contains a combination of free-response and non free-response questions. The Cambridge Primary Math assessment covers five content areas or ‘strands’ and further subdivided into ‘sub-strands’. These are:
- Number (Numbers and the number system,Calculation – Mental strategies, Addition and subtraction, Multiplication and division)
- Geometry (Shapes and geometric reasoning, Position and movement)
- Measure (Money, Length, mass and capacity, Time, Area and perimeter)
- Handling data (Organizing, categorizing and representing data, Probability)
- Problem solving (Using techniques and skills in solving mathematical problems, Using understanding and strategies in solving problems)
