2014 Primary Science Specimen Paper 1

The 2014 Primary Science Specimen Paper 1 is a released assessment from the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint  and provides comprehensive feedback on students' strengths and weaknesses in the subject. This assessment contains a combination of free-response and non free-response questions. The Cambridge Primary Science assessment covers four content areas or ‘strands’ and further subdivided into ‘sub-strands’. These are:

  1. Scientific enquiry (Ideas and evidence, Plan investigative work, Obtain and present evidence, Consider evidence and approach)
  2. Biology (Plants, Living things in their environment, Humans and animals)
  3. Chemistry (Material properties, Material changes, States of matter)
  4. Physics (Forces, Light and dark, Electricity, The Earth and beyond, Sound Scientific enquiry)
