Floating Pencil
This task (in PALM and in PALS) focuses on the knowledge of Matter and Its Tranformations. Students must record the length of the pencil suspended in both fresh water and salt water that is unsubmerged, and determine if the unmarked sample is salt water or fresh water. Lastly, students will predict the outcome of adding salt to the salt water sample.

The purpose of the Global Art: A Sense of Caring task is to support youth to exchange digital photos/artwork and writing on the theme of caring. Students will write a story or a poem on his/her ideas of caring. They will then create an artwork according to the story and design a class Service Learning project that demonstrates caring for others and take action to benefit the community and show how much they care about.
