My Country Flag
In the My Country Flag task, students will discuss their own country flag, their history, what the colors of their own flags connote, and what changes their flags have undergone during different phases of history. Students will research their own country flags, its color, what it means, what it signifies, why some changes have been made to their flags, and its purpose. At the same time, they will widely exchange information with students from different parts of the world and learn about their flag and history.

My Hero Project
In the My Hero Project task, students will use MY HERO, an interdisciplinary, online, interactive Web site that celebrates the best of humanity through essays, artwork, audio, drama, and short films. Students will publish essays and submit multimedia online about their heroes. The project seeks to promote cultural awareness, activism and understanding through global storytelling that honors the heroes in our families, the community and the world.

In the My Mother, Your Mother task, students will research, write essays and poems, discuss, and draw heir own mothers. Topics will include their mother's role in their families, how she brought them up, and how she showed them how to become good members in their societies. Students will also research famous mothers in their countries.
