Child Rights and Responsibilities

In Child Rights and Responsibilities, students will identify their wants and needs (using UNICEF resources available online) and learn that their needs are their Rights and that Rights come with responsibilities. They will learn about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Students will take part in collaborative activities outlined below.  They will learn that though ALL children have Rights, not all children have access to these Rights. They will learn why this is and what the consequences are. Students will think about what can be done to ensure that all children have access to these Rights.
