Motorway

The Motorway task allows students to demonstrate their ability to approximate calculations. Students will be told how many cars travel on a road in a minute and will approximate how many cars will travel on the road in nine minutes. Then they will explain how they go their answer. Students will complete this task working one on one with a teacher-administrator. The resources required for this task are a picture of a busy motorway and a recording book.

This task is a part of the Number task series from 2001 by NEMP.
